Privacy Policy

Who we are

The Global Initiative for Jobs and Skills for a New Economy (“we”, “us”, “the Initiative”) is a coalition of governments, businesses, funders, and implementing partners working together to put jobs, skills, and social equity at the centre of the transition to a low-carbon, resilient economy. This website is managed in the United Kingdom, and we are the data controller for the personal data we collect through it.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at:

Email: jsne@systemiq.org

What data we collect

We only collect personal data when you choose to give it to us. Right now, this happens through the contact form on our website.

When you fill in the contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Any other information you choose to include in your message

We do not currently use cookies, analytics tools, or any third-party services on this website.

Why we collect it

We use the information you submit through the contact form to:

  • Respond to your enquiry
  • Follow up on partnership or collaboration requests
  • Keep a record of correspondence where needed

Our legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest: responding to enquiries sent to us directly. Where your message relates to a specific request from you (for example, joining the Initiative or a partnership enquiry), our legal basis may also be consent, given by you when you submit the form.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case of follow-up. We do not keep this data longer than necessary, and we review and delete old records periodically.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. As we do not currently use any third-party tools or services on this website, your data is not passed to any external providers.

If this changes in the future (for example, if we start using email or analytics tools), we will update this policy to reflect that.

Your rights

Because we are based in the UK, your data is protected under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate data
  • Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict how we use your data
  • Object to us processing your data
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you think we’ve handled your data unfairly

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at jsne@systemiq.org

You can also lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk, or with your local data protection authority if you are based outside the UK.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start collecting new types of data or using new tools. We’ll post any changes on this page with an updated date at the top.
